Hitachi Asia, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Corporation jointly received the order of repowering project from SENOKO Power Company on a full turnkey basis.
This project is that the three steam generator power units (250MW each) of SENOKO power plant stage 2 are changed two units of 420MW gas turbine combined cycle.
No.1 and No. 2 unit will be in operation at September and November 2011.
This project is as follows;
- Existing boiler, chimney, etc are removed.
- Two sets of gas turbine and HRSG are additionally established at the space
Three companies construct a consortium, and
- Hitachi Asia mainly takes charge of removal of existing equipment, construction of HRSG, and renewal of steam turbine
- Mitsubishi Heavy Industries mainly takes charge of delivery and installation of gas turbine
- Mitsubishi Corporation takes charge of business affairs
It utilizes some existing equipment and attains high efficiency by converting GTCC power plant, and contributes to the market power of SENOKO power company in the power pool system.
