Hitachi

Hitachi developed the nickel-based single crystal alloy for gas turbine bucket.
This alloy has the characteristics of intensity under high temperature and high oxidation condition.
The gas turbine buckets manufactured using this alloy are settled in H-25 gas turbine of Goi coast energy, Goi power station, and demonstration test is started on June 20.
The developed nickel-based single crystal alloy is raised heat and oxidation resistance by adjusting the composition, such as carbon, boron, tungsten, and tantalum.
Furthermore, it is realized the improvement in durability and reliability as a ceramic coating to the bucket in order to reduce the base metal temperature.
It can be raised thermal efficiency and be expected the CO2 reduction by using this bucket for H-25 gas turbine.
Demonstration test is carried out by the joint research of "energy usage rationalization technological strategy development" with independent administrative agency of New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization.
